These days, cybercrime is on the rise. Crooks are not lacking in imagination to try to get your personal or banking information for malicious purposes, this is called phishing

The positive side is that there are a number of good habits to help you avoid falling into these traps, we’ll give you some of them:

Fake websites

Sometimes scammers duplicate websites such as Social Security, IRS or even PCS. Their goal is to get you to trust them and get your personal information so they can use it later.

How do I know if I am on the PCS website?

  • Check the url of the site: as a reminder, there is only one official website: https://www.mypcs.com/ and only one “My account” space: https://account.mypcs.com/fr/login!
  • Scammers usually change some letters or transform the .com into .net. At the slightest change in the URL, leave immediately from this site.
  • There is always a small padlock in the upper left corner of the url, this means that the connection is secure.

For more security save the URL of your PCS customer area directly in your internet browser’s favorites. So, no more risk of being trapped 😊

Fake emails

You must have already received tempting e-mails explaining that you have won a great gift or, on the contrary, stressful e-mails informing you that you absolutely must pay a bill within 3 days by clicking on a link! Take the time to think about it, it often is a scam!

  • Check the e-mail address carefully. The PCS customer service email address is contact@creacard.net
  • Check the e-mail for spelling mistakes or damages to the PCS logo.

If in doubt, do not answer and do not click on any link in the body of the email. If you receive an email from another address or if you have any doubt, contact us!

Fake customer services

As a reminder, there is only one number to contact customer service: 0 811 880 200, and only one contact email address: contact@creacard.net. Please note that none of our advisors will ask you for your confidential card information or the login details for your “My Account” space. !

The principle of this scam consists in recovering your personal data on the Internet (connection access, bank data, official documents).

The right actions to take

  • First, ask yourself if it makes sense for a stranger to promise you the best. Remember, when it’s too good to be true, it isn’t.
  • Take the time to check the contact information of the person you are contacting. Scammers communicate mainly by e-mail (often with spelling mistakes).
  • Do not give out any personal data without checking who you are dealing with, even if that person seems honest (official documents, photos, bank details etc.)
  • Do not give, pay or transfer money to a stranger you meet on the internet. Once again, when it’s too good to be true, it ISN’T TRUE.
  • Make transactions on secure sites. When paying, check that the site you are paying on is secure (small padlock in the URL)
